HINDUSTAN BIBLE INSTITUTE: INDIA

Hindustan Bible Institute (HBI) was established in 1952 in Chennai by Dr. Paul V. Gupta, when he was moved by the need for national leadership for the church and missions. The strategy that God placed in his heart was to reach the unevangelised by equipping one Indian to reach another Indian for Christ. The program at HBI focuses on practical training in evangelism and preaching God’s Word, and a spiritual emphasis on Biblical values, vision and faith.

HBI has training centers at 5 locations in India, equipping and developing indigenous leaders.

The vision of HBI expanded to work with at-risk children, through orphanages, schools, and Child Development Centers.

Northbrook's current focus with HBI is in the town of Siliguri, India. Current ministries involve an orphanage, ministry at drop-in centers in the slums, local pastoral training centers, and ministry in the red light district.

IN NETWORK GHANA

International Needs was founded in 1974 with the idea of partnering with Christians who are already doing ministry in their own countries.

The central aim of IN Network continues to be winning people to Christ. They dig wells, build schools, and sponsor kids so they can go to school and get a hot meal each day – because Jesus cares about physical needs and scripture tells us to do the same. But the central purpose continues to be working for transformed lives and changed communities for Jesus Christ.

Northbrook Church is a key partner in ministry, with a special emphasis on the ministry in Ghana. Together, Northbrook and International Needs have supported medical teams and clinics, provided desks for a new school, built a church pavilion, and helped hundreds of children through child sponsorship and children’s outreach programs.
