The natural outflow of discovering our life in Christ and growing in our relationship with Him is a desire to share this life with others. Through a continual process of giving from what we receive, whether it be skills, money, or time, we participate in the kingdom of God.

  • Cultivate a Servant Heart

“God is present over the whole world, yet he becomes visibly present through a people who make his presence known.” – David Fitch


We begin to cultivate a servant heart when we first realize the love that God has for people, and then follow the example that Christ set for us. Jesus came to serve, not be served, and when we do the same, we continue to make God’s presence known throughout the world.

Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. – 1 Peter 4:10


God has gifted you uniquely, with a desire to see you impact the world around you. The journey to discover what those unique gifts are is an enriching one, as you will begin to better understand yourself, God, and others.

Once we understand our giftedness, it is not only our responsibility, but also our privilege to use them to serve others. In very real and practical ways, God’s heart is shown through our loving acts of service.

  • Share the Good News

For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died. And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again. – 2 Corinthians 5:14-15 NIV


The Gospel is translated to literally mean “Good News”, and the good news is, that God possesses a radical love for all people. We as his followers get to be a conduit for that Good News.

The Church's mission first begins with God, because it is God’s mission, driven by love, that all people would come to know him. We then are called to participate in God’s work around the world.

Everything good comes from God. Every perfect gift is from him. These good gifts come down from the Father who made all the lights in the sky. – James 1:17

​

Every dollar that we own, every skill set that we possess, every moment in time available to us is a gift from above. May we then give joyously of our finances, our talents, and our time. As we live generous lives, our hearts are expanded to be more like Jesus’.
