Bake and carve a turkey for Ethnos Church urban community meal
Again this year Northbrook will be providing baked/carved turkeys for a community Thanksgiving meal being held at Ethnos Church in Milwaukee on Saturday, November 17. Ethnos is a local ministry partner of Northbrook that serves a community of low-income and immigrant families as well as international students who wish to experience the American Thanksgiving holiday.
If you would like to provide a baked/carved turkey, please email Laura Holmes to sign up. Carved turkeys should be dropped off at Northbrook in the kitchen refrigerator in a disposable container labeled “Ethnos Church” on Thursday Nov. 15 or Friday Nov. 16, between 9 AM and 5 PM.
Our goal is 12 turkeys!
Decorate the Northbrook lobby and worship spaces for the Christmas season
It’s coming up on that time again – decorating Northbrook for Christmas!
This year we will be decorating the sanctuary, chapel and lobby on Sunday, November 25, starting at noon (right after the 11:00 service). If you have helped in the past, you know the more volunteers we have, the faster it goes, so please join us! If you are available please RSVP to Sue Reith HERE
Family Promise Christmas gifts
Northbrook is partnering with Family Promise of Washington County to provide 500 gifts for low-income and homeless clients in our area this Christmas. On November 17 or 18, stop by the lobby table and choose a "gift tag". Then shop, wrap, and return that item to the gift return table in the nb Café by December 2. Want to get an early start? Contact Annette HERE to get a tag. This is a great way for families to continue Operation: Love Your Neighbor!
